Where pile B goes is clear, right? It is kept as a reserve and then rejections are written to this pile of applications. Of course, the rejection letter never says that it was because of the photo, the lack of charisma, the lack of smile, the lack of dynamism of you in this photo. This would make the job actionable, which is why no company or HR manager is really open about the reasons.
