Taking photos of spring is a wonderful, albeit difficult, task for any photographer. Capturing a tree in bloom is no easy task. If you photograph the whole tree, it is a photo that usually does not reflect the human point of view.

If, on the other hand, you photograph the blossom alone, the tree or the sum of the blossoms does not come across properly. After all, when photographing individual blossoms or a group of blossoms, the tree is more in the mind of the viewer and you can usually put the tree in full bloom together more beautifully in your mind than with a single photo of the entire tree. If this seems strange to you, please try photographing a tree in full bloom. It is often the case that the photo only incompletely reflects the human point of view.
A collage that captures several views of the tree blossom can help. I decided to do this after viewing many photos in Lightroom over several days. The photos were all different in terms of view, detail, distance, sharpness and light. I shot many of the photos with an excellent lens, which is certainly not often found in private collections: 70-200mm B2.8. The lens is a very sharp and bright tool.
I photographed with a very open aperture to capture the freshness of spring. It is this scent of new beginnings, the hope for something new, the lightness of youth, the carefreeness of growth that fascinates me so much as a photographer. My dream is to be able to capture this time in Japan. I would probably spend days on end among the cherry blossoms and try to skilfully freeze the images in my head photographically. Or make a video of the blossoms moving in the wind. Just that. That would be enough for me. I would like to do this for hours to switch off and meditate and watch it later. The task must be to hang up the photos as a large poster, a stretcher frame / photo canvas and to have fun pausing in front of them every day. To breathe in the spring. I think you can breathe good photos.

If you like taking photos yourself, my wish would be for you to go out and photograph spring. I would like to publish the first ten photos submitted here (with names and copyright). To do this, you can send me your photo with copyright in the image and a size of 800 pixels longest edge (72dpi). This is just for fun!
Thank you very much for the beautiful collage and the helpful tips on photography!
It is always valuable to know you! :-)
